Corporate Events
We are right in the middle of the season for the Industry’s Annual Awards, celebrating the success stories of the year and holding Christmas celebrations to reward employees for their hard work throughout the year. We are in difficult times, but more than ever we need to engage with our industry and our people more effectively. The introduction of regular, scheduled corporate events are excellent for morale and can create special experiences if organised correctly. However, many events are delayed or cancelled because budgets are too tight and frankly not organised correctly for the audience. The correct event, organised well, will add value to your business and place you in a stronger position than your competition.
Events should never be last minute whims but well thought out and with key people in attendance using subjects that will impact on your audience. “Know your audience” is a familiar phrase, but do we know our audience and what matters most to them? What’s going to make a difference?
The whole experience needs to be something people will talk about and will want an invite to your next event – not because of who you are but because of the learning. Time is nobodies friend and it is a precious commodity, but do people turn up because of who you are or because they want to be there?
First class events leave a lasting memory for all concerned down to the last details of who sits where – it all contributes to money well spent. If you are organising a team building event or engaging with your Supply Chain, the venue, audience, presenters and subject matter are all critical to the success of your event. It’s been our experience that every event we have organised has added value. Who says? The client’s and delegates.
A well organised event will never have you questioning the cost but asking yourself “What’s the cost of not holding an event?”
