Established this business from a concept into one of the top 3 in the country within 10 years. We had a forward order book for 4 years achieving two digit profits and investing in our supply chain year on year with no detrimental impact on safety, performance or customer service. We delivered a very high standard of service and invested heavily in developing our people, our equipment and our vehicles to carry out one of the most dangerous services in the highways sector. We celebrated our achievements and rewarded our employees and never rested on our laurels. We were always looking to improve collectively and individually.
- Established a new Traffic Management Service arm that provided temporary traffic management solutions for internal support and external clients.
- Grew the business and achieved turnover in excess of £16m with a 4 year forward order book delivering margins in excess of 10%.
- Implemented operational standards that improved Health and Safety understanding and performance and gained industry recognition as a high performing service.

We restructured the department and how we engaged with our Clients and opened up new markets both geographically and locally to give us a solid foundation to move our business forward. We developed many new forums to engage with our Clients more positively thus providing better knowledge of our Clients drivers to the wider teams within our business. This resulted in improved bid success and repeat business.
- Developed relationships with United Utilities, Scottish Water, Scottish Power, Network Rail and several Local Authorities, diversifying the market position for the company.
- Established new contracts in Scotland increasing turnover by £20million per annum.
- Restructured the existing department to give individual responsibility and ownership resulting in leading edge market intelligence.
- Introduced Knowledge Share Forums with clients visiting our offices to present and had Q&A sessions for the wider team, resulting in greater bid success.
